The baseball team hosts two winter camps: Elite Prospect camp, for high school students, will be held Dec. 30 and the Future Flames Advanced Skills Camp, for baseball players age 9 to 13, takes place Dec. 31.

Camps will be run by UIC baseball team coaching staff members, including head coach Sean McDermott.

Share your culture

Help UIC celebrate its diversity by contributing to the UIC World Fair, scheduled for March.

Individuals, organizations and departments can give performances, host cultural workshops and more. Submissions are due Jan. 31.

The UIC World’s Fair takes place from 3 to 7 p.m. March 13 at the Student Recreation Facility. The event is sponsored by Campus Programs, Campus Recreation and the Office of International Services. For more information, email cgrogan@uic.edu

Online tax information

Employees can sign up through Jan. 15 to receive their Form W-2 online.

The 40,000 employees who received their W-2 electronically last year do not need to sign up again this year. Others can request an online W-2 through NESSIE, the university’s HR website, under the “compensation” tab.

Employees who do not receive the W-2 electronically will be mailed a copy.

Vacation, sick leave payouts

UIC employees can defer vacation and compensable sick leave payouts to their 403(b) and 457 retirement accounts when they retire or leave the university.

For instructions, call the Benefits Services office at 312-996-6471 on or before 60 days before the last day of employment.

The benefits office is located on the first floor of the Marshfield Building. For more information visit NESSIE, the university’s HR website.
