Gallery 400 events

Gallery 400’s latest exhibit, “I Think We’re Ready to Go to the Next Sequence: The Legacy of HalfLifers,” is on display through June 15 in Art and Design Hall.

“I Think We’re Ready to Go to the Next Sequence: The Legacy of HalfLifers” is on display through June 15 at Gallery 400.

Curated by Torsten Zenas Burns and Anthony Discenza, the exhibit re-examines, interprets and pays homage to the extensive body of performative video work that the Halflifers have produced since the early 1990s.

Exhibit hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 6 p.m. Saturday.

Gallery 400 will host two events related to the exhibit from 7 to 9 p.m. June 13.

In “Zombies, Identified,” artist George Pfau presents a slideshow of diagrams, film stills, videos and animations that focus on zombies as  learning tools about identity and the ephemeral aspects of being human. This project stems from Pfau’s essay, “Feverish Homeless Cannibal,” which is being published in the forthcoming book, Zombies in the Academy.

Jason Robert Bell presents a tarot card reading during his presentation, “The White Feathered Octopus Tarot Deck.”
